I'm now making jewelry--Beaded, Pandora Style, Fused Glass--lots of styles and colors!

I've been making the Pandora Style bracelets and pendants for awhile and fused glass, too.
The beaded bracelets, etc. are very new.  I'm kind of taking a liking to beading. Being someone
who loves variety, I didn't think I'd ever get into it, but I'm seeing that I can make a variety of
designs of jewelry as well as other items, too, such as keychains, etc.

Welcome to my blog--check out these items for the 4th of July!

The 4th of July will be here before we know it, and here's one of my newest items.  I love rustic and this sign is very rustic!  The letters are Americana, distressed and are attached to the sign.

You can welcome your friends and family all summer long with this beautiful patriotic wreath made

To go along with the American decor is this beautiful "Welcome" sign on rustic barnwood.
I didn't plan the color scheme, but it sure does go well with the rest of the patriotic look!

New Project--Wire Sculpting

I love wire sculptures, and this is my first attempt at it.  It's not finished yet.  I'm thinking of maybe spraying it a black color and adding glass beads to it.  This was actually easier than I thought it would be, and adding all of the little swirly designs to it was a lot of fun.

I'm attaching my Pinterest page/board if you're interested in seeing many examples of wire sculptures. This board is for all types of sculpture, but there's many cute ideas for wire sculpture as well.
https://www.pinterest.com/t79/sculpture/

Here's some fun beads that I found at Walmart for this project and for my students to
use as well.  I love the variety of the turquoise colors.

I also found this E6000 glue for both jewelry and beads.  I did a little research, and from
what I read, E6000 glue is suppose to be some of the best glue for jewelry out there.
I'll give it a try on the beads for now.

I spray painted the wire with Miracal spray enamel from the dollar store.  I love the
contrast of the black and the bright turquoise beads together!  The beads add that
finishing touch to the sculpture.  I think I have ten beads on this piece.

The first photo is in my kitchen where it looks very cute next to the off white
wall.  The second photo is outside right in front of a tree.  My first intention
was to hang this outside by using a long black iron garden hanger attached to the top
of this and to let the sun shine on the beads.  I think it will look very pretty
dangling below the pine trees or maybe in my house--I'm not sure yet.  Either
way, it's very whimsical and cute!
The third photo is next to a tin building so you can get another view of it.  Working
with wire sculpting is a totally different media for me, but so far it's a very rewarding one,
too.

Stoneware--From ugly to gorgeous!

I love the gorgeous colors of this stoneware vase.  At one time, I was ready to pitch it, and I think I reglazed it about 4 times, but it finally turned out beautiful.  The top is a gold glaze and the rest of it
is a variety of other glazes.  It was the final combination of glazes, that made this vase a keeper!

Who Doesn't love Teddy Bears!

Teddy bear art comes in my forms.  You can use one of your kid's stuffed teddy bears to paint as with the top image.  This one was painted with watercolors.  And if you already have a sculpture of a teddy bear, etc., you can easily create a painting from it.  I wanted to make a clipart image from my "Tulip" bear (below image), so I painted one with watercolors (middle image).

The bottom sculpture was sculpted using Sculpey III.  It's very easy to work with, but you will want
to have baby wipes and latex gloves on hand to keep your clay clean especially if you're working with white clay.

What a better way to decorate your little one's nursery/bedroom than with sculptures and paintings from your own artwork!   Check back later one for more images from my sculptures.
These as well as more of my sculptures and art are on my Etsy shop--see link below.
